Welcome to the 2019 season of
CT Flames & Nanook Spring Hockey!
For CT Flames’ eighth spring season, now in partnership with Nanook Hockey, we are delighted to offer both a Spring Training Program fielding teams for each age division including Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, and Midgets as well as the Nanook Hockey 3v3 Play small-area games. CT Flames and Nanook are not affiliated with any particular winter program and attract players from various hockey organizations from around Fairfield County, including Darien, New Canaan, Greenwich, Stamford, and Norwalk, and throughout the state of Connecticut and New York. CT Flames Spring Training ID Skates are open to all.
At CT Flames and Nanook Hockey, we take great care in developing the athlete, the teammate, and the person. The best athletes make those around them better, and this principle holds true throughout the rest of their lives and even outside of their athletic endeavors. The most successful players are those that are developed physically, mentally, and socially. This is why at the CT Flames we are dedicated to creating well-rounded athletes. Our unique hockey culture fosters the development of winning athletes and good people.
CT Flames & Nanook Hockey Program Offerings
The CT Flames Spring Training program offers twice-weekly practices based on the American Developmental Model created by USA Hockey that include station-based drills designed to reinforce both fundamental skills of skating and stickhandling as well as team play. Spring Training strives to develop highly skilled ice hockey players in a fun, encouraging atmosphere with players from a variety of programs.
3v3 Play both builds on our Spring Training program and offers great benefits on its own by providing a fun, competitive environment in which players build confidence improving skating and stickhandling skills in small area games. By playing in a smaller space, players must react and adapt quickly to this fast-paced game and all players on the ice get many puck touches and are involved in the play the whole time.
